Different application scenarios of rock wool insulation materials

Rock wool is a kind of man-made inorganic fiber made of natural rock minerals, which is melted at high temperature and then pulled by high-speed centrifugal equipment. After adding some special adhesives and dust-proof oils, it can be cured by heating and can be made into rock wool products of different densities according to different uses. 

Rock wool has the properties of fire prevention, heat insulation, sound absorption and sound insulation, and high water repellency. It is an excellent fireproof and heat-insulating board in the current construction industry. 

Among them, steel structure rock wool board is widely used in steel structure buildings such as steel structure workshops, power plants, exhibition halls, terminals, railway stations, gymnasiums, supermarkets, and logistics centers because of its low thermal conductivity, good load resistance, high bending strength, good flame retardancy, wide temperature resistance, no rotting, no insect bites and rat bites.

Different rock wool insulation material application scenarios: Industrial rock wool is mainly used for insulation of nuclear power plants, power plants, chemical plants, and large kilns. It is easy to install and construct, and has significant energy-saving effects; building rock wool boards are used for external insulation of building exterior walls, roof and curtain wall insulation, fire isolation belts, elevator shafts, etc.; marine rock wool is added with hydrophobic additives during production, and has good moisture-proof properties. It is used in cabins, sanitary units on board, crew lounges, and power warehouses; agricultural rock wool slag balls have low content, do not contain asbestos, and do not produce mold. It can be used as a factory-based soilless cultivation base for vegetables, fruits, and flowers. 

Whether it is construction, petroleum, electricity, metallurgy, textiles, transportation and other industries, or industrial equipment such as pipeline storage tanks, boilers, flues, heat exchangers, fans, vehicles and ships, rock wool insulation materials are a good thermal insulation and sound insulation material.
